Based on the existence of the new Alcántara Bridge in the city of Toledo, the proposal sets out the intervention with a very specific objective, that of promoting sustainable urban mobility within a very consolidated historical context: by facilitating the existence of clean urban transport, providing public transport with the necessary infrastructures, promoting urban-rural connections, improving the road network, creating and improving roads that encourage pedestrian, cyclist and electric mobility and the development of clean energy supply systems; and this thanks to, on the one hand, the maintenance of the projected and executed communications system, as well as the general design and apparent image of the existing bridge and the surrounding area, limiting the modifications with minimal alterations to what has already been done.
The footbridge, which we could define as a route created for the man on foot, made of granite, asymmetrical, zig-zag, elegant and simple, but not simple, which avoids sinuous physical boasts, and which seeks similarity with the Alcántara Bridge and its materiality and the way of crossing it.

Tomando como base la existencia del puente nuevo de Alcántara, en la ciudad de Toledo, la propuesta plantea la intervención con un objetivo muy específico, la de fomentar la movilidad urbana sostenible dentro de un contexto histórico muy consolidado: apostando por facilitar la existencia de un transporte urbano limpio, dotando al transporte colectivo de las infraestructuras necesarias, promoviendo la conexión urbano-rural, mejorando la red viaria, creando y mejorando viales que fomenten el transporte, peatonal, ciclista y la movilidad eléctrica, y el desarrollo de sistemas de suministro de energías limpias; y esto gracias a, por un lado el mantenimiento del sistema de comunicaciones proyectado y ejecutado, así como el diseño general e imagen aparente del puente existente y los alrededores, limitando las modificaciones con las mínimas reformas sobre lo ya realizado.
La pasarela, la cual podríamos definir como un recorrido creado para el hombre de a pie, de granito, asimétrico, en zig zag, elegante y sencillo, que no simple, que huye de los alardes sinuosos en lo físico, y que busca la similitud con el Puente de Alcántara y su materialidad y modo de recorrerlo.
